Saturday Morning Awaken Energy
- Movement - Breath - Meditation -

The Saturday morning class will provide a
gentle, slow and energetic practice that will bring awareness to the body delivering energy through movement and mindful awareness.
The practice will incorporate: movement, breath, and meditation in order to move stagnant
energies and help develop consciousness of energy constriction, flow and replenishment.
In this morning experience the class will
practice observation of body, mind and
spirit to better know ourselves and the flow of energy within our body and the energy that emanates through and from each of us.

Saturday Afternoon Assisted & Supported
Sustained Partnered Postures & Practices

The Saturday afternoon assisted and supported class will provide greater awareness of the body,
sensuality, eros, communication and desire

The practice will incorporate: movement, breath, and meditation in order to move stagnant
energies and help develop consciousness of energy constriction, flow and replenishment.
In these supported and sometimes partnered postures the class will practice observation of body, mind, and spirit to better know ourselves and our relationship to life-force energies
as we find support.

Who are these classes for?

This class is presented for all levels, all ages and body types. The focus of this class is towards feeling and leading the body into a posture that will provide knowledge of energy and energetic flow through the physical body as well as the mental body.
Men who are looking to unlock the flow of energy or the freedom of movement are ideal for this class.

What are some of the benefits of these classes?

Participants will take from the class a deeper sense of energies within the body and an awareness of how movement and breath can help to form a deeper understanding of one's self and one's body.

Men will leave the class, feeling both refreshed and rejuvenated and perhaps even restored.

Why we practice
together as men:

The root of the word yoga itself comes
from the sanskrit root yug = union.

I believe that as trees in the forest are connected sharing energy and power, the exact same sharing of energy and power happens when we practice together as men. The practice grows stronger and steadier as we practice as a group.

Practising together is a great way of building a community around yourself. In this community
you can find encouragement and support.

Our Yoga practices can be a time for yourself, where you can be yourself and be surrounded by other like-minded men.

Why we practice
together while naked:
The goal of practising naked is to accept ourselves: exactly as we are.

Practising while being completely naked can
help us become familiar and accepting of our naked self.

Practicing naked is also a great way to work
with self acceptance in general.
acceptance of our strengths,
acceptantce of our weaknesses,
and also acceptance of "what is".
A great mantra to practice, while naked can be
"there are no such things as imperfections, only differences" or
"everyone has beauty in them"

Everyone's experience of practising while naked will be ever-changing and a chance for discoveries about ourselves.

Jean-Francois
From Jean-Francois
Speaking of his Yoga Journey
I came into yoga after a Pilates instructor invited me to one of her classes. I immediately
fell in love with the practice and that
connection between body and mind.

After a few years of practising in the studio,
I decided to deepen my practice and began a 200-hr yoga teacher training. Since then I have also completed a 40-h yin yoga training, as it beautifully combines the practice of yoga and meditation.

The practice of yoga is a beautiful opportunity
for being an eternal student, even as a teacher. The more you practice, the more you share,
and the more you know about yourself.
I love that yoga is for everybody, and for every type of body. Practicing Yoga offers a vibrant holistic way to really take care of yourself.

Everything to Know About Yoga and the Five Elements of Nature

Here’s what you need to know to honor the elements, and connect to the healing power of earth, water, fire, air, and ether in your yoga practice.

Stop and imagine quietly standing barefoot out under the open sky. Feel the dirt under your feet, a breeze tickling the back of your neck. As the sun warms your face, listen for the trickle of a stream nearby. Breathe.

It’s a serene moment, one that evokes the elements of nature. Earth, air, fire, water and ether are elements of a universal theory of creation that has been part of many ancient practices and eastern philosophies for millennia.

“The five great elements, or panchamahabhutas, are thought to have originated as the universe [did], so they are as old as can be,” says Anjali Deva, certified Ayurvedic practitioner and founder of Rooted Rasa. “They are the building blocks of the universe, as well as our bodies…everything is created with different combinations of these five elements.”

In Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga and one of the oldest medical systems still practiced today, those five elements are prithvi (earth), jal (water), agni (fire), vayu (air), and akasha (ether or space).

The elements correlate with the senses and with particular body parts and functions. Each has an energy correspondent among the chakras.
According to the ayurvedic system, each of us is born with a unique combination of the five elements—some more dominant than others, ...
